Mega Mammal Tour (9-day all inclusive)

Dates: April 3-11 2023

Summary:

Come and join Treeswift Wildlife & Nature on the Australian mammal watching experience of a lifetime! A 9-day / 8-night tour across Victoria tracking down some of the rarest and most unique mammal species of the planet on an all-inclusive tour. Departing from Melbourne, we’ll explore vast rainforest, open sea, coastal scrub, dry woodland, mallee forest, open plains, heathland and tall mountain ranges targeting over 50 species of endemic Australian mammals. Highlight species include Leadbeater’s Possum, Southern Greater Glider, Long-nosed Potoroo, Eastern Pygmy Possum, Platypus, Koala, Feathertail Glider, Silky Mouse, Brush-tailed Phascogale, Spot-tailed Quoll, Brush-tailed Rock Wallaby and many more! See a full list of key species and itinerary at the bottom of the page.

What makes this experience different is the custom itinerary especially design around getting the most of mammal watching in this part of southeast Australia. That means use of thermal imaging equipment, spotlighting every night (with dedicated rest hours in the day for sleeping), a private bat-box survey event, 2x boating events for dolphins, seals and cetaceans, multiple opportunities for hard-to-get species, and a private spotlighting event at Mt Rothwell Conservation & Research Reserve.

This is your opportunity to experience the wonder of Australia’s incredible mammal species in this small-group mammal watching extravaganza. Places are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.
