Yarra Ranges: Nocturnal Adventure

4hr Private Spotlighting

Come and along and experience the wonders of the Yarra Ranges National Park on a private spotlighting tour after dark! This spectacular carbon-rich, temperate rainforest is home to some of the most unique wildlife in the world including Southern Greater Glider, Greater Sooty Owl, Powerful Owl, Platypus, Common Wombat, Koala, Yellow-bellied Glider, Australian Boobook, Swamp Wallaby, Mountain Brushtail Possum, Ewing’s Tree Frog, and Long-nosed Bandicoot. For those who want an extra special experience, follow us into the central highlands on our tour extension as we look for the critical endangered and incredibly rare Leadbeater’s Possum – believed to be extinct until it was rediscovered in 1961! With other natural highlights such as the bioluminescent Ghost Fungus, tonnes of photographic opportunities, and endless gullies of Mountain Ash, our Yarra Ranges: Nocturnal Adventure tour remains as one of our most popular experiences!

So exciting! We were picked up from our Airbnb in Healesville and enjoyed a guided tour of the forest and mountains. Amazing frogmouths, sooty owl, wallaby, yellow-bellied glider and the very cute feathertail glider. Can’t wait to go out again!
